LAKE BALATON DAY TRIP

After leaving the capitol our first stop will be in Székesfehérvár, in the first royal town of Hungary, where most of the middle age kings are buried. The tour includes also the visit to the Bory castle. After a walk in the thousand year old city we proceed to the lake, Central Europe's largest freshwater blue-green colored lake, some 60 miles southwest of Budapest, is Hungary's number one vacation resort and a major wine-producing region. We walk to the port of Balatonfüred, taking pictures of swans, nice gardens and promenade Have a breathtaking view from the baroque Abbey of TIHANY founded in 1055. Lunch included in a typical lake shore restaurant. After tasting the famous wines from Balaton we cross the lake by a ferry and drive back to Budapest.
